AlbumBaru.Com — Berasal dari Hanover, Jerman, Scorpions, dibentuk pada tahun 1965. Membawakan genre rock, grup band ini diperkuat Rudolf Schenker (Rhythm gitar/Vokal), Michael Schenker (lead gitar), Karl-Heinz Follmer (Lead Gitar), Lothar Heimberg (Bass) dan Wolfgang Dziony (Drum). Inilah lagu terbaik Scorpions yang abadi hingga kini.
Scorpions merupakan salah satu band tersukses di dunia sepanjang masa. Dengan tren gaya musik hard rock hingga heavy metal, membuat grup band ini terkesan garang. Mereka dikenal lewat lagu rock 1980-an antara lain “Rock You Like a Hurricane”, “No One Like You”, “Send Me an Angel”, “Still Loving You” dan “Wind of Change”.

Album
Selama perjalanan karir musik-nya, Scorpions telah merilis 18 album studio, 6 album live, 28 album kompilasi, 12 album video, 74 single dan 2 album cover. Scorpions meluncurkan album perdana bertajuk Lonesome Crow pada tahun 1972. Album dengan gaya gelap melodik ini menjadi soundtrack untuk film anti-narkoba Jerman Das Kalte Paradies.
Album kedua Scorpions bertajuk Fly to the Rainbow diluncurkan pada tahun 1974. Lima lagu dari album Fly to the Rainbow kerap dimainkan secara reguler pada tiap tur Scorpions. Lagu-lagu tersebut adalah “In Trance”, “Speedy’s Coming”, “They Need a Million”, “This Is My Song” dan “Drifting Sun”.
Album Scorpions lainnya antara lain In Trance (1975), Virgin Killer (1976), Taen by Force (1977), Lovedrive (1979) dan Animal Magnetis (1980). Sedangkan live album Scorpion antara lain Tokyo Tapes (1978), World Wide Live ( 1985) Live Bites (1995) dan Acoustica (2001).
Penghargaan
Pada tahun 2009, Scorpions menerima Germany’s ECHO Honorary Award untuk lifetime achievement di Berlin O2 World. Selain itu, Scorpions menduduki peringkat ke-46 pada All Time Greatest Artists VH1 (Video Hits One atau MTV) pada program Hard Rock. Sedangkan, lagu “Rock You Like a Hurricane” juga meraih sukses dengan menapaki urutan ke-18 dalam daftar VH1 dari 100 All Time Greatest Hard Rock Songs.
